Theresa Roß studied Chemistry (B.Sc.) at the University of Bayreuth. In her bachelor thesis in 2016 she worked with Prof. Dr. Seema Agarwal on the “synthesis of antimicrobial polyesters”. After continuing her studies in the “Natural Product- and Drug Chemistry” (M.Sc.) she carried out her master thesis in the group of Prof. Dr. Frank Hahn on the synthesis of substrate surrogates for the investigation of ketoreductase domains of polyketide synthases and chemoenzymatic synthesis.
In her Ph.D. thesis she investigates of the synthetic potential of a novel cyclase enzymes that were recently discovered in our group.
