We are pleased to announce that the group will be funded by the Momentum Initiative of the Volkswagen Foundation for the next seven years. The Momentum programme allows recently tenured professors to explore new directions in their research and to significantly expand their topical portfolio.

The programme will enable us establishing bioelectrosynthesis as a new field of research at the professorship and combining it with the biotechnology of polyketide synthases, on which we have been working for some time already.
