Tim Hollmann studied chemistry at Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg and did is bachelor thesis regarding „Investigations on multicomponent synthesis of novel N-heterocycles“ in the workgroup of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Martens in 2013.

While his master thesis he dealt with the „Search for a novel four component reaction of benzanullated heterocyclic imines and their derivatisation“, which was prepared in 2015, in the workgroup of Prof. Dr. Jürgen Martens.

During his PhD thesis he investigates cyclases, targeting their use in chemoenzymatic synthesis of heterocycle containing natural products. Therefor he applies enantioselektive organic synthesis and convertes the products with recombinantly prepared Proteins.
